Dr. Mohamed Osman, M.D. is a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist, Harvard Trained Pain Management Specialist and Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer of MVM Health Pain, Vein and Wellness.
Dr. Osman earned his medical degree at the University of Missouri-Kansas City by completing their prestigious and highly competitive BA/MD Combined 6 year Accelerated Program – one of the few of its type in the country. This meant, from the age of 18, with great motivation and endurance, Dr. Osman studied for both his Bachelors and Medical School training. Dr. Osman continued his medical training by completing his Residency in Anesthesiology at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida. He then achieved his Fellowship in Pain Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center at Harvard Medical School.
Creating meaningful and genuine relationships with his patients, empowering them to be involved in the decisions surrounding their care and understanding the importance of creating a warm and transparent physician-patient relationship has been the hallmark of Dr. Osman’s practice. This personable and dynamic nature has been recognized multiple times over: he was named Resident of the Month on three separate occasions whilst at the University of Florida as well as being awarded Interventional Pain Fellow of the Year of his graduating class by Harvard Medical School. This nature has followed him into his practice as a pain management specialist where he has been described as “upbeat”, “compassionate” with “magnetic personality” , taking the “time to explain information clearly” and “always concerned about your care”.
In addition to fostering excellent relationships with his patients, Dr. Osman is passionate about an evidence-based approach to his work as a pain management physician striving to become an expert in the field. Hence, he is an active researcher in the field of pain medicine and has co-authored and presented numerous pieces of research at multiple national conferences including ASA National Meetings, ASRA National Conferences and NANS National Conferences. Additionally, believing in the use of interventional procedure based care rather than the traditional use of oral medication and keen to continuously learn new and innovative pain management techniques, Dr. Osman has made great strives to become an expert in advanced cutting-edge techniques by achieving certification in procedures such as Kyphoplasty, DRG simulation, MILD procedure, Vertiflex and CornerLoc SI Fusion. Given his enthusiasm in obtaining new knowledge and honing his practical skills, Dr. Osman was invited to lend his pain management knowledge in medical education and is published in The Neuromodulation Casebook.
Dr. Osman is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiology, American Society of Regional Anesthesia & Pain Medicine, American Academy of Pain Medicine, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, Spine Interventional Society and North American Interventional Pain Physicians.
In his free time, Dr. Osman enjoys spending time with his wife and their young daughter, working out, traveling and discovering new blends of coffee. His current favorite is a 100% Hawaiian Kona medium roast bean.
