Dr. Vwaire Orhurhu is a Harvard Trained Physician associated with various hospitals in the region. Dr. Vwaire Orhurhu is a nationally recognized interventional pain physician and outcomes researcher. He currently practices at MVM Health and is a former Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Dr. Orhurhu received his medical degree from Mayo Medical School and completed postgraduate training at Harvard-affiliated hospitals, including a General Surgery internship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, an Anesthesiology residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and a Chronic Pain Medicine fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital.

He holds a Master of Public Health from Harvard University, with advanced training in quantitative research methods and statistical analysis. Dr. Orhurhu has authored over 180 peer-reviewed publications and multiple book chapters in anesthesiology and interventional pain medicine. His work has appeared in leading journals such as JAMA, The Spine Journal, Neurol Neuroimmunol Neuroinflamm, Anesthesia & Analgesia, Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, Pain Medicine, Pain Physician and others.

Dr. Orhurhu has been recognized by Doximity as the most cited clinician for four consecutive years, and the most cited and most published clinician over the past five years.
